Music Program

Music education is an integral part of life at 暗网禁区 and our commitment to music can be seen throughout our campuses.

Young ones at the Early Learning Village (ELV) are introduced to music and movement at the tender age of 18 months. At Pre-Kindergarten, we introduce a Suzuki-inspired classroom program for all students building musicianship and discipline alongside their instrumental skills (violin in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten 1, and cello in Kindergarten 2).

From the age of 3 years, children have the option to join the additional Suzuki violin program with their parents and learn the violin through the world-renowned Suzuki method combining specialized one-on-one instruction with group classes. The Suzuki method promotes creative development through positive motivation and learning with others.

Music is an integral part of the curriculum for students in Grade 1 through Grade 7, while students in Grade 8, 9 and 10 may choose music for their Middle Years Program (MYP) arts allocation. In Grade 11 and Grade 12, students who are keen on continuing their music education can opt for it as part of their course selection within the Diploma Program (DP) and/or High School Diploma. We offer both the BTEC International Level 3 in Music and IBDP music.

Through our extra-curricular program, we offer instrumental instruction for students through the Instrumental Music Program (IMP), with private one-on-one lessons available in 12 instruments by highly-trained and passionate music teachers, in addition to our diverse activities and group performance opportunities through our Music Ensemble Program (MEP). Our Music Activities offer group music-making and performing opportunities, from choral and to strings, wind, orchestral, and rock ensembles, alongside opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in music theory, songwriting and music technology.?Students, staff and parents frequently get together to enjoy performances in our state-of-the-art Reagan Theater and at various other locations on our campuses.

In addition, we are a proud member school of the Association for Music in International Schools (AMIS), and our students regularly audition for and participate in global solo and ensemble honor opportunities.
