Stamford had its Month of Giving last December, which saw several of our Middle & High School students, parents and staff getting involved in charitable initiatives:
– The Guide Dogs CCA raised $1,812 for Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd
– Trash to Flash and the HS BTEC raised $724 for Community Chest at our Christmas Marketplace.
– 10th Grader Abril¡¯s Bake Sale for a Cause raised over $200 for Causes for Animals – Singapore
– The Peer Tutoring Club donated 27 large boxes of educational materials to underprivileged families here in Singapore through Methodist Welfare Services, an organization supported by Community Chest.
– Our PTA passed on gifts of snacks and appliances to migrant workers through It¡¯s Raining Raincoats
– 8th Grader Elenais donated a huge box of clothing which was shipped to a village in Cambodia.
– The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation campaign saw many new toys collected for the Boy Scouts of America¡¯s yearly initiative.
Not only have we achieved overwhelming response from the community, but we are also forging closer partnerships with ItsRainingRaincoats Raining Raincoats and Community Chest Singapore, 2 organisations we are proud to be working with.
